we will run a class in the morning where we teach how to use the map and compass to navigate around a course, then we run a race to see who can get around the course the fastest.

Stinging Nettles have been used throughout history to make Nettle Tea, Nettle Soup and even to extract dye to use for camouflage netting. Refreshments will be provided.

Nature Day at Bedfont Lakes |
From dawn to dusk the Ranger Service and ecologists will be running a series of guided walks and events.
This event starts with an early morning nature walk and goes on through the day with walks talks and art events covering everything from how to do a butterfly transect to identifying bats.
A team of Rangers, the Education Officers and experts in various fields will be there to help.

Apple Day |
This is a rare opportunity to visit the park's South Side Orchard at Challenge Road, Ashford so come along to and celebrate the British Apple.
The W.I. will be selling jam and other items and there will be a demonstration of bees in their hives. The Friends will be running a bookstall and a hook-a-frog game for the children.
There will be bob apple, duck apple and chocolate apples and competitions such as the longest peel. Bring a large bag because you will be able to collect apples from the orchard to take home.
The entrance will be through the dog exercise area at the corner of Challenge and Shield Roads.
