Nature Fans Have A Really Wild Time In The Rain!
Dozens of wildlife fans braved the rain on Monday to enjoy some of the walks, tours and workshops on offer at the Bedfont Lakes Nature Day.
The traditional Bank Holiday downpour was enough to discourage many families and youngsters but lots of older nature-lovers attended the event.
The day began at 6.30am with a dawn walk for birdspotters and ended with a bat-spotting walk in the evening.

Park ranger Katie Hill
Park ranger Katie Hill said "The weather wasn't really on our side. We had to cancel the spider-spotting and insect-related activities but the mammal trapping and bat spotting both went well and people seemed to be having a really interesting day."
The mammal traps were laid on Sunday night and revealed woodmice and other small mammals the next morning al of which were then released back into the wild.
The rangers now plan to rearrange some of the events when the weather is better.
They will run alongside other fun summer activities including a wild flower walk and a kids' survival day.
For more information call the rangers' office on 0845-456-2796.
