Londonations Award – Project Now Complete
In February 2008 the Friends secured funding from the Capital Community Foundation, Londonations Fund, to provide some much needed play equipment for our younger visitors. There have been unavoidable delays in completing the project but we are pleased to announce that the new Springies are now in place and ready to use. Bedfont Lakes Country Park is a rural oasis within the reach of thousands of children who live in the urban London Borough of Hounslow. The provision of these Springies will be of real benefit to children and their parents and carers when they visit the park. They will provide a fun feature and hopefully encourage children to make repeat visits to the park, thereby instilling a love and appreciation of a country park at an early age.
